The Internet is up and running well at the Rappahannock County Library. We are the fourth public library in Virginia to offer patrons access to the Internet.
Many usage restrictions have been removed. We no longer require advance signups and we have increased the hours that the Internet will be available. If you haven’t surfed the net, come to the library and give it a try.
For those who want to explore the Internet but don’t know how to start, we have two volunteers who can help. These experienced Internet searchers will be at the library on Thursdays. Call the library for more information or stop by on Thursday. For searchers of all levels there will be another user group session at 10:30 a.m. on November 4 in the library program room. All are welcome.
The library offers preschool storytimes at 10:30 on Wednesday mornings. These stories, songs and fingerplays are conducted by Stella Clark, the children’s librarian. She has gotten rave reviews from children and parents.
Children’s Book Week is November 13-19. Does your school age child have a library card? This is the perfect time to get your child a card and open their world through the services of the public library.
