On Oct. 18, Karla Miller advised the Sheriff's Office that Jack Leroy Redman, 24, of Flint Hill, had twice boarded a school bus and threatened the children.
According to Sheriff John Henry Woodward, Mr. Redman was arrested on a breach of peace warrant.
Last Thursday, the owner of the Trading Post on U.S. 21 1 outside Washington reported that the sign out front of the building had been stolen.
Several automobile accidents took place in the county during the last week.
On Oct. 16 around 12:30 p.m., a 1994 Ford station wagon driven by Jennifer Simmons, 34, of Sperryville, ran off the road and struck some trees, according to Virginia State Police Sgt. Harry Newlin. The accident took place on U.S. 211, .2 mile east of Route 667 in Sperryville. The vehicle sustained $1,500 damage and Ms. Simmons was not injured. She was charged with reckless driving by Trooper Sean Knick.
