Auction Scheduled
Spring Mountain Waldorf School’s Fundraising Auction will be held at 5 p.m. on Nov. 11 at the Washington Fire Hall with Bill Payne, Auctioneer.
“Spring Mountain auctions have become known as the bargainhunter’s paradise for furniture, the arts, vacations, gifts, and one-of-akind items,” according to Auction Chairwoman Sally Walker. Call the school office at 675-1458 between 8:30 a.m. and 12 noon for a discount bid number and list of auction items.
Development Screening Set
The Rappahannock County Public School System is sponsoring a free developmental screening for children birth to 21 years of age from 1 until 3 p.m. through Nov. 21.
Most children show regular signs of growth during the first five years. Children who do not meet these developmental milestones may need immediate or future special services. The children will be checked ; for development in the areas of speech and language, general develop- ; ment, social skills and vision. This screening is not designed to determine if a child a ready for Kindergarten. There is no charge to the parents for this screening. Dinner■ Auction Planned
Celebrity Sports dinner and auction sponsored by the Boy Scout Troop 200 of Flint Hill will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday Nov. 4, at Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Company building. The auction will begin at 7 p.m.
Prices are S5 for adults and S3 for children 11 and under. A ravioli dinner is included in ticket price. Tickets may be purchased in advance for $4 adults and $2.50 for children by calling 635-9601 or 675-1657.
Portraits, Dinner Scheduled
Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department will have portraits by Ken Pullen and Association from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. on Oct. 29. Three 5x7 photos will be $5 with a $2 sitting fee. Also a chicken dinner consisting of chicken, cole slaw, baked beans, roll and a drink for $6 begins at noon. For more information call 635-5482.
Buffet Breakfast Planned
The Washington Volunteer Fire Department will have a buffet breakfast from 7-11 a.m. on Nov. 25. Breakfast will consist of sausage, bacon, eggs, gravy, baked apples, pancakes, biscuits, coffee and juice.
Christmas Craft Bazaar
