Administration, the Board of Supervisors work as a team for the best interests of the County. Although we face the same problems as surrounding counties, we manage to accomplish our governmental tasks without bickering or public controversy.
3. The major challenge that we will face over the next four years will be our endeavors to keep taxes from further escalation. Further increases in property and personal property taxes could have a devastating effect on our rural way of life. Although there are mandates that have to be considered, our first consideration must be the fragile situation of our farmers and medium income residents.
4. The dumpster sites at Huntly and Scrabble must be closed at the earliest possible date. A centralized site should be established for the convenience of our western population. The site must be secure and manned for residents to deposit their household “bagged” trash and recycling. All other bulky trash should be taken to the landfill. The Huntly and Scrabble sites are environmentally unsafe, abused, and are an unneeded liability for th^ County.
