A native Washingtonian, Ned attending Landon School in Bethesda, Md. and Denison University in Ohio. He returned to Washington, D.C. to earn his Master of Fine Arts degree at George Washington University.
His list of portrait subjects includes: secretaries James A. Baker and Lawrence Eagleburger for the State Department, actress Shirley MacLaine, Nancy M. Kissinger and many leaders of the corporate, legal, medical and diplomatic professions. Ned Bittinger and his wife, Mary live in Sperryville.
