Planned
The Planning Commission members agreed to switch the public forums scheduled for Amissville and Chester Gap in November and December.
The forums are intended to get public input for the goals and objectives part of the revised Comprehensive Plan.
Current plans are to have a forum on Natural Resources and Community Facilities at the Chester Gap Fire Hall on Wednesday, November 8; a forum on Farming, Tourism, Local Businesses and Jobs at the Amissville Fire Hall on Wednesday, December 13; and the final public forum on Bypasses and Villages on Wednesday, January 10, at the Sperryville Fire Hall.
At last Wednesday’s meeting the planners also voted to advertise new regulations for larger subdivisions and commercial operations. They would be' required to show that adequate water exists for the planned development without affecting wells on other neighboring properties.
The regulations would affect developers of five or more lots of less than five acres, developers of 10 or more lots regardless' of size, and any commercial or industrial use that will require more than 10,000 gallons per dav.
