1. The main strength is most people want to keep Rappahannock a rural agriculture and tourism based county. Its local government, for the most part, wants the same.
2. Keeping the rural flavor. Most young people have to leave to find gainful employment. I think county government is basically strong, but faces a challenge to find ways to finance schools and other needs.
3. Growth. Mandates on local government to provide services without funding from federal and state levels.
4. I hope this can be done. The possibility of toxic substances being put in the dumpsters and the clean up would be an unnecessary j:ost.
5. Stopping urban sprawl would be ideal for Rappahannock County. I think we have to plan for it and control it. I think the plan will go a long way in doing this.
