The Rappahannock County High School cross country teams won their last regular season meet last Wednesday. The meet was held at Clarke County’s home course, against Clarke and Page county.
The boys took First in their race with a score of 25 to Page’s 41. Clarke Finished last with 53. Rapp seniors Mark Jenkins and Eddie Sause paced the meet, both of them running a time of 17:00. Jennings Hobson was third for the Panthers.
The girls’ race was easily won by Rappahannock, who scored a 24, since the other two teams could not Field full teams. Rapp’s Holy Gangel, a junior, once again took the meet with a time of 23:04. Freshman Jessie Gheen was right behind her at 23:08,second overall. Lauren Sharp (5th) and Emily Sims (7th) were Rapp’s third and fourth runners. Rounding out the team were Myriam Lathuille at eighth overall and Robyn Kaye in ninth place.
