from Mary Washington College, where he studied piano, violin, percussion and french horn. He continued his training at Virginia Commonwealth University, further studying piano, composition, classical guitar and electronic music. He has performed in solo concerts, in instrumental ensembles and in orchestra.
Although piano is his instrument of choice and the one on which he most “freely flows” (and the instrument this concert will highlight), Ibrgeson also feels at home on synthesizer. Using his classical training as a launching point, he orchestrates many of his tone poems using cutting edge computer and electronic music technology, creating a palette of sound which is sophisticated but personal and captivating.
The concert on Saturday May 1 will feature piano music from Sundance in Moonlight j$nd' Cloudburst, as well as unreleasea selections and improvisations.
