A suspicious vehicle leads this week’s crime report.
On April 19, the Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a red and white fullsize Ford van following a school bus during afternoon drop-off in the Chester Gap area.
According to witnesses, the van followed the bus and the driver of the van would watch children as they got off the bus.
Sheriff Larry Sherertz emphasized that the driver did not attempt to abduct any children. The driver also did not attempt to talk with any children, or motion any to come over to his van.
