Volunteers
Volunteers make a difference in small communities.
This has become apparent over the last
couple of weeks in stories that have appeared in the Rappahannock News.
Many people don’t seem to be aware of how much volunteers give to Rappahannock County. These individuals give their valuable time to help not only the volunteer fire and rescue departments and schools, but numerous county agencies as well.
People volunteer their time to help out because they care endugh about the community to contribute to its well-being. So, next time you see a volunteer, whether it is a fire or rescue worker, or someone who gives their time freely to a county agency or organization, take a minute and let them know that they you appreciate their commitment to our community.
