local residents
A special 30 percent discount car pass is available to Fauquier residents for the May 1 Virginia Gold Cup.
No tickets are sold at the gate.
The special resident car pass, discount priced at $40, admits one vehicle and up to six passengers into the general subscriber area. The ticket must be purchased at the Gold Cup office at 90 Main Street in Warrenton, with evidence of Fauquier residence.
Since the annual sellout event moved to the Great Meadow course in 1985, it has operated to benefit free year-round use of Great Meadow by non-profit community activities like the Fauquier Soccer League.
