' Charlotte Printz, a student at Rappahannock County High school, I was the winner in the local apple pie baking contest held last Thursday at the school. She is in Winchester this week participating in the pie baking contest held there , each year in connection with the Apple Blossom Festival. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Printz of Amissville. William A. Curtis of Washington has assumed a position with the Virginia Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company as adviser in Rappahannock County. This position was formerly held by Ralph H. Rowzie of Amissyille, who recently retired. Building permits issued in Rappahannock County from Jan. 1, 1968 through December of that year totaled 69, according to the office of the zoning administrator. The estimated cost of construction totaled $587,390 and fees in the amount of $350 were collected by Rappahannock County. “Then and Now” is the theme for the July 4th Exhibit which will be held at Rappahannock Library.
