first wife, Alma Powell Flippo and a brother, Harry Bernard Flippo.
Mr. Flippo worked for County Farm Service in Culpeper and was a service agent to many Rappahannock farmers.
He is survived by his second wife, Gladys E. Flippo of Brandy Station; a son, William Powell Flippo III of Tallahassee, Fla.; a twin brother, Richard L. Flippo of Fredericksburg; three grandchildren; six nephews and one niece.
Funeral services were conducted April 23 in the Chapel of the Hill and Wood Funeral Home in Charlottesville with Sam McCracken and Robert Flippo officiating. Burial followed at Monticello Memory Gardens.
