By TODD FORTUNE Rappahannock News Staff Writer Ian Blubaugh and Jami Gillis, juniors at Rappahannock High School, recently competed in debate and forensics tournaments in Charlottesville. Blubaugh and Gillis competed in the Regional debate tournament on April 7 and placed third, just missing a spot in the state tournament. Blubaugh and Gillis competed in the switch-side debate. They were given a topic at the beginning of the school year, and have been researching since. The subject for this tournament was foreign policy towards Russia. Even though the Rappahannock team didn’t win, Blubaugh won best speaker overall. This is the first year that the high school has participated in Policy
