James arid Diane Wood of Washington announce the birth of a son, Britton Michael. The baby was born February 9, 1983, at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.

Grandparents of the child are Mr. and Mrs. Donald Tuthill of Washington and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Wood of Lorton, Virginia.

Bridge Party

Mrs. Mary Quaintance entertained the Sperryville Bridge Club at her home on Friday evening.

Guests were Mrs. T. J. Pillar, Mrs. Dale Metzinger, Mrs. R. E. Thompsen, Mrs. Ulrich Maeyer, Mrs. I. R. Kilby, Mrs. Brown Miller, Mrs. Frances Tabler and Mrs. Helen Kilby.

Prize winners were Mrs. Metzinger, Mrs. Tabler and Mrs. Thompsen and Mrs. Pillar tied for bingo.
