Accordingly, Estabrook preferred a copy of the revision to the Rappahannock News two weeks ago and supplied the original report last Tuesday.
In response, the declaratory judgement action has been dropped.
The report, contracted for at the cost of $2,500 plus, carries the notation “prepared for the School Board of County of Rappahannock, Virginia” on its covers.
Under introduction, the report notes that “probable costs presented were derived from current unit cost information and should be viewed as budget figures only.” The cost analyses “are derived from unit cost information from nationally compiled sources, such as Robert S. Means Company, Inc. and F.W. Dodge Division of McGraw-Hill, for the purpose of providing comparative information to assist (the school board) in deciding the direction of the project. They do not represent, and should not be construed to be, cost estimates for any particular design or configuration,” the report says.
