There’s a feeling of excitement in the air around Rappahannock County. It came with the start of the Year of the Panthers.
Rappahannock County High School’s varsity basketball team will be going to regional competition next week, a feat never before accomplished by a RCHS squad.
Regional play will begin on March 2 at Western Albermarle High School with the Panthers facing either Cumberland or Prince Edward.
The Panthers finished first in he Bull Run District. No matter what happens in the District tournament this weekend, they’re on the road that may lead to a state championship.
