Rappahannock
“Then comes Rappahannock, lovingly tagged ‘Rappa-hang-on’ by some.” Susan cautions. “Anyone suceptible to nose bleeds and altitudes should not ascend Rappahannock’s hills, even to watch. But at speed, and it is a speedier course, ram shorter, that first step is a lulu! But I like it, it’s a down hill racers’ dream. Braver riders make up time going down hill and coast going up.
Blue Ridge
“Next is Blue Ridge,” continues Susan. “Those folks are serious. No need to ever rebuild fences there. They built them once; they did it right. Most are made from railroad ties and telephone poles. Nobody bothers Blue Ridge fences.”
