In the sheriffs campaign, “undecided” beat out all four candidates. Thirtysix percent of the registered voters contacted in the poll did not know who they will vote for on November 8. John Henry Woodward had the edge among those commiting to a candidate with 26 percent of those polled. Martin Orfila won support from 18 percent, Mark Wittl from 12 percent and John Walker Jenkins from 10 percent. Woodward found his strongest support in Sperryville and Amissville areas. Orfila
