Clubs

Extension agent Birgitt Thornhill says she's working with the 4th grade in school clubs, but she’s “trying to get some leaders.”

The 4th grade clubs are an introduction to a variety of possible 4-H activities. The pupils learn basic parliamentary procedure. When they have those principles mastered they will elect officers.

The club members study wildlife, crafts such as building birdfeeders and in the spring — embryology. That’s a branch of biology that will be taught by incubating eggs until spring chickens are hatched.
