Alan Kidwell of Flint Hill was his brother’s best man. The groomsmen were. William Chase III, Cary Kanne and Robert Dennis of Culpeper, Frank Farmer and Paul Farmer of Arlington and Thomas Rankins of Fredericksburg.

Mrs. Kathy Beales, organist, played the wedding music and accompanied Miss Ronda Giles, soloist, who sang “The Wedding Song” and "The Bridal Prayer”. Miss Giles also sang “Just 't ou and I" and was accompanied by Brian Beard.

The mother of the bride wore a formal gown of seafoam green quiona and wore a white orchid corsage.

The mother of the groom wore a formal gown of pale blue chiffon trimmed with lace. She also wore a white orchid corsage.

A reception was held at the church social hall immediately following the ceremony. Mrs. Lucy Jenkins, Mrs. Faye Shaw and Mrs. Virginia Jenkins presided at the punch bowl and Mrs. Ginny Pierson served the wedding cake. Miss Stephanie Drain of Charlottesville attended the guest book.
