Mason course, this one for jxirIs, as she crossed the line in 22:52, well ahead of four Mustang hoys and the entire girls’ contingent. Denise Eidson was the third finisher among the girls in 2(5:03. “Denise had a very good showing,” noted coach Ann Spieker, “She beat six George Mason girls.”
With the Panthers in first place in the district, the cross country coach already had plenty to smile about. She had even more reason with the results from last week’s dual meet. “Even if we had eliminated all our juniors and seniors from the team, our ninth graders would have easily defeated George Mason.”
