I do not believe that the position of commonwealth’s attorney is a parttime job in Rappahannock County, especially considering the duties which the commonwealth’s attorney must also perform as county attorney. The budget for the commonwealth’s attorney’s office, including salaries and expenses, is around $34,000. I think the people of Rappahannock County are entitled to expect the commonwealth’s attorney to give the duties of that office top priority.
