The community cooperative summer day camp program became t he community cooperative 4-H summer day camp program. It was a dream come true to have a summer day camp that provided quality recreational activities for youngsters as well as providing jobs for local teenagers.
Last summer, our week long pilot program proved how fantastic the experience can be for all involved. Everyone worked and played hard with tremendous results. The kids loved it, the junior counselors loved it and the parents of the tired but happy campers were delighted to have a program designed to meet the energy level of kids on summer vacation.
It was a thrill to watch both boys and girls try their skills at so many different activities. Some had never swam or played soccer or tumbled before but all of
