In the past three years, the Rappahannock Lions Club has been especially active in numerous charitable fund raising activities.
The annual October sale, for example, of “Lionsmade” apple butter plus pecans, apples, brooms made by blind citizens, apple cider and honey is but one of the many worthwhile programs conducted by the Lions according to information office William H. Adams.
The funds raised by the activities are reinvested back into many programs within the county. For example, since 1979 the Rappahannock Lions Club has contributed over $7,615 in direct financial support of health improvement, youth projects and miscellaneous beneficial programs in the county.
