250 Years Celebrated
The 40th Annual Waterford Homes Tour and Crafts Exhibit, October 7-9, promises a special look at almost three centuries of American folk art.
Among the many 18th Century historichomes open to the public are the Quaker meeting house, a Federal brick home (previously Waterford’s bank), the log weaver’s cottage, the original gristmill, the one room jail and several barns and schools where crafts and demonstrations will be displayed. Live performances are scheduled throughout the village with fife and drum corps marching and the militia encamped in a nearby lot.
Waterford is located 6 miles north of Leesburg on Route 662. A $7.00 admission charge covers all events and parking. Proceeds collected are for the benefit of the non-profit Waterford Foundation.
