“I feel competent to handle those duties but I recognize the rights of those groups to select their own counsel if they choose to do so. If they are uncomfortable with using me, 1 would encourage them to seek outside leagal advice.
“But 1 feel that instances of direct conflict that might prevent me from representing the board of supervisors, board of zoning appeals or school board would be minimal.
“In addition, 1 am now the attorney for the Rappahannock- Kapidan Community Services Board so I have experience in some of the areas of law that might concern local boards, such as Virginia’s Freedom of Information Act and the new Virginia public procurement law.”
