l ake Advantage of Kail Tillage: Many soils respond to fall tillage. Fertilizer can bo applied early and mixed in with the soil in the root zone. More choices of fertilizer materials to use an* available in the fall and winter and farmers can be more flexible in the method of application. Fields getting 1’ & K plowed or chiseled into the soil this fall will be ready for spring planting with fewer trips over the field. 1‘ & K can safely be applied this fall and winter on fields with less than an eight percent slope that have good residue cover, even without tilling at application.
