The Chairman of the Rappahannock County Planning Commission will be the guest speaker at the public forum sponsored by the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection (RLEP), on Monday, Sept. 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Library.
Chairman Tom Junk will discuss the process which the Planning Commission will follow as it reviews the County Comprehensive Plan, At the August meeting, Mr. Junk recommended that the Commission’s regular meetings in October and November, January and February, be held in the districts to enable more citizen involvement in the review.
All Commissioners agreed and County Administrator, John McCarthy, will present a proposed schedule at the September meeting. Mr. Junk stated that he “hopes for a good turn-out at the district meetings”.
