Bank celebrates

100th

The Rappahannock National Bank is 100 years

old this month and a special centennial celebration

will be held on Friday, Sept. 20.

Within this issue of the Rappahannock News, readers will have an insert in celebration of the 100 years. Since 1902 RNB has served the citizens of this County. During that time many changes have occurred within the bank as well as financial institutions around the country. And we commend the RNB on its longevity within this community.

Today, Sept. 12 the RNB will have a ground breaking ceremony at their new site located at 12704 Lee Highway in Washington and thus begin a new era of banking.

Over the last century the bank has been represented by nine presidents and hosted a number of cashiers and other employees. Today, RNB has seven employees and Michael T. Leake serves as its CEO. We commend Mr. Leake and his employees on leading RNB customers into this new era of banking. Not only will Rappahannock residents have a new banking facility but one with a complete line of banking options that will carry citizens into the next century.

As the RNB embarks upon this new adventure, we at the Rappahannock News would like to thank everyone who assisted in producing this insert on behalf of the bank.
