QiGong sessions scheduled

Apple Butter Festival underway :

The third annual Apple Butter Festival is currently underway and will continue through Saturday, Sept. 14 at Skyland’s Conference Hall in the Shenandoah National Park. Clyde Gray • has his copper kettle set and has stoked up the fire for demonstrations in the age-old tradition of apple butter boiling.

At the festival, guests can purchase apple related gifts, crafts and food at the special Country Store. Food items include apple cobbler, apple turnovers, apple cinnamon bars, country ham sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers and more. Fresh apple butter will be available to purchase (two jar limit) on Sept. 12 and 14. There will be live entertainment and fun for all.

RmighRide set for Sept. 21

The sixth annual Rappahannock RoughRide to benefit the I Fauquier County Free Clinic and the Rappahannock County : Free Clinic in Washington will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21. The RoughRide is a fun bicycling event with rides for cyclists of all levels—a route for the beginner (12 miles), a couple longer ! choices for the intermediate (30 and 35 miles), and even longer and more challenging courses for the advanced (60 miles).
