rrep scnool students in grades eight through twelve went to Washington, DC last week to attend the National Gallery of Art’s exhibit on Egypt. After a brief walk, the students then visited the Spy Museum, which was, of course, a major hit. Real-life “tools of the trade” are exhibited, and there were quite a few people in the museum considering a career in espionage by the tour’s end! Monday, the Lower School, grades five through seven, went to the exhibits, and many of the students had the same reaction.

• Lunches at WCDS took a definite upward swing last week with the beginning of service from the Marriott Ranch. Yummy, hot food, served with a smile! We can’t thank Marriott enough for their great program, as well as the professional staff that delivers the food.

• Girls Volleyball and Cross Country start in earnest this week, with games lined up for several days. All home games will have refreshments available for a nominal cost. Parents and friends of Wakefield are invited to attend the games; call 635-8555 for dates and times.
