Hunter safety courses set

Hunter safety courses will be held in Culpeper and Fauquier this year and Rappahannock residents are encouraged to participate. In Culpeper, classes will be held Sept. 24 and Sept. 25 * from 6 to 9:30 p.m. and on Nov.5 and 6 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. I and all day on Nov. 9 beginning at 8 a.m. For additional infermation, location and to pre-register call John Dodson at 5432070.

In Fauquier classes will be held at the Warrenton Police Training Center on Carriage House Lane on Sept. 14 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Sept. 15 from noon to 4 p.m.; Oct. 12 from 8 a.m. ; to 4 p.m.; Oct. 13 from noon to 4 p.m. and Nov. 9 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Nov. 10 from noon to 4 p.m. The class is open to the first 65 people and again contact Mr. Dodson.

Musical benefit planned

The Rappahannock County 4-H Program will be having a 50/50 raffle with proceeds to help with monthly 4-H Club expenses. The Jolliffe Brother's Band featuring Steve Butler will be playing music from the 50's with a little bit of swing, R & B and old and new rock at Hackley’s Store, Sept. 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. Come out and enjoy the music and help support the Rappahannock County 4-H Program by purchasing a 50/50 raffle ticket.

Clinic will be open Sept. 18

The Rappahannock Free Clinic, a local operation of the ! Fauquier Free Clinic Inc., is currently open on the first, third and fifth Wednesdays of each month. The clinic will be open Wednesday, Sept. 18 and not again until Oct. 2. Patient registration is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock Public ; Health Department Building.
