that 150 “Superintendent profile” surveys were returned, and that application packages for the Superintendent position will be mailed out on Sept. 11, after approval by the School Board on Sept. 10. Applications are due by Oct. 15, and the School Board will select a new Superintendent by Dec. 31 of this year.
Mrs. Williams presented the Board with a summary report on the study performed last year to create a master plan for the schools’ athletic and recreational facilities.. The study, by Rickmond Engineering, involved a review of existing facilities and discussions with County and school personnel to determine what additional facilities would be necessary to achieve program objectives.
It also developed options, timeframes, and budget estimates for the design and construction of the new facilities that included: an upgraded track facility, lights for softball and baseball fields, and concessions and restrooms by spring 2002; lights for the RCHS track by spring 2003; a new 1,200 to
