Defensively, Gary Jenkins repeatedly strips the ball from the opposition and boots it back where it belongs. Brittany Adams brings speed and agility to the roster, blasting off to rip past opponents, winning the ball.

U-8
Our U-8 division is divided into three teams this Fall season. Coach Ann Pankow’s Rapp 3 had a bye this weekend and did not play. “ Coach Vicky Foley’s Rapp 1 and Coaches Lee/Hogan’s Rapp 2 played each other at RCES.
The children in this age group have a fun chance to become a little more competitive and at the same time have the opportunity to learn the rules of soccer.
Coach Foley said team member Case Kramer and Celine Brass had a standout showing for the first game as well as first time player Thylor Ordile.
Coach Lee commended Billy Hogan, Peter Lee and Seth Wayland showed good team leadership, passing skills and plenty of shots on goal.
U-10 Girls
In their first game of the fall season,- the U-10 Rapp girls, otherwise known as the “Killer Bees,” took to the Emerald Hill pitch this past Saturday in a friendly contest with the Culpeper girls. For most of the girls, this was their first time on a big field using real goalies.
With just a few girls returning from the spring season, the young team played exceptionally well. Mallory Parson handled first half goalie duties like a pro, and with Annie Bennet, Tiffany Clanagan, Katy Huang and Christine Pankow sharing defensive duties, the Killer Bees gave up only one goal.
Offensively, Rapp forwards Bryn Sonnett, Joslyn Smith, and Maria Lee, with midfield support from Brittani Dodson and Brittany Stephens, netted two goals giving the Killer Bees a 2-1 advantage when the first half whistle blew.
With the midday sun beating down, the Killer Bees began the second half with Sarah Wheatley guarding the net.
While Caitlin Humbles, Haley Hogan, Mallory Parson and Brittany Stephens patrolled the defensive end, Annie Bennet, Christine Pankow and Joslyn Smith supplied the offensive punch.
Both teams traded goals, and the Killer Bees led 3-2 Jdth under a minute to play.
