A turnout of over 100 cars is anticipated at the 31st Annual Edgar Rohr Memorial Antique Car Meet, scheduled to take place in downtown Manassas on Saturday, September 23 from 10 a.m. To 3 p.m.
The car show is sponsored by the the Manassas Museum and the Bull Run Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America. It will take place on the lawn of the museum, located at 9101 Prince William Street.
Spectator admission and parking are free. The event will be held rain or shine.
Vehicles on display will represent 19 different classic and antique car classes, as well as street rod and modified, military vehicle, foreign vehicle, and “driver” classes. Vehicles must be 1981 or older models.
An antique car parts flea market will be held adjacent to the show area. Also, at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., a team of antique car buffs will assemble a Model T Ford from its component parts, and drive it around.
Children can enjoy a special play area that will include a moon bounce, and families can take part in an automobile-themed scavenger hunt at the museum.
Visitors may stroll through historic Old Tbwn Manassas with its specialty shops and restaurants, and a Chili Cookoff will be in progress at the Harris Pavilion, just one block away. Each car show registrant will receive one free pass to the museum, which features exhibits on the Virginia Piedmont, the Civil War and the history of Manassas.
Car owners may register at the show, but can pre-register at a discount before September 18.
