Now she is fully prepared to spend more time with her sons, teaching them ah they need to know.
“One of the things that I would like to transmit to the boys is how to become a good student, complete with study skills.” She believes that the Kolbe program will introduce additional structure into their education requiring their best effort.
Jane said that one of the greatest rewards about homeschooling is the atmosphere of education that permeates the house during the school year. “Our whole family gets involved with education,” she says, “We get to discuss politics and views at the dinner table. . . it has been an extraordinarily educational experience for all of us and we certainly eryoy it ”
Christ-centered
Nathan and Melissa Cotton, parents of a young family living in Washington, Va., started began homeschooling as they prepared a curriculum for their 5-year-old son Benjamin, who is starting kindergarten at home.
“We wanted to give our child a Christ-centered education,” said Melissa, as she discussed their reasons for homeschooling.
