After the Board of
Supervisors hearing of August 1 was broadcast on channel 21, numerous people have come up to me in stores and on the sidewalk to commend me for standing up to a developer, and express their hope that I get my family cemetery back.
Some even tell me about the struggles of other people in similar situations.
I always tell these people how much it means it means to me to know I have their support and prayers. This also confirms my belief that the issue of family cemeteries need to be addressed with more than recommendations and voluntary guidelines on the federal, state, and local level.
I urge everyone interested in this serious problem to write to their elected officials on all levels of government to request mandatory laws to protect family cemetery, I urge them to contact their local media as well.
