Donnie Carter’s solo, “I Wish You Were Here.” Soloist Joy Heddleston followed with the National Anthem, before a rousing congregational rendition of “My Country, ‘Tis of Thee.”

Additional musical selections included “When I Call on Jesus,” with choreographed praise-dance by Reynolds youth Joy Heddleston, Tracy Bruce and Elizabeth Welch; apd an original praise song, “Take Me,” written by Reynolds’ worship team leader Brian Ross. Donnie Carter closed the honor service with the inspirational hymn, “It’s Your Grace and Mercy.”

Inspired art by Thomas Mullany become the color bulletin cover for the fifth 9/11 remembrance. The scene depicted the temple (destroyed by the Romans in 70 A.D.) with the smoke of sacrifices of atonement rising in a perspective from the Mount of Olives.
