Also, this week was marked by the passing of Roberta Jenkins; known affectionately by me and hundreds of others that rode her bus as “Miss Jenkins.”
I was deeply touched by her daughter Fran’s tribute to her mother in last week’s paper, and the many ways she touched so many people’s lives. For me; she was the kind face behind the swinging yellow doors, the steady driver whom hundreds of parents depended on to safely deliver their kids to and from school.
