September 20: Rappahannock Free Clinic
Rappahannock Free Clinic will be open on Wednesday, September 20th at the Rappahannock Health Department. Patient registration is from 5:30 p.m to 6:30 p.m For more information call the clinic at 347-0394.
September 20: Garden Club’s meeting
The Rappahannock County Garden Club’s September meeting will be held on September 20, at 1 p.m. at the Washington Fire Hall. The program will be presented by Rappahannock resident Susan Hager, on “Year Round Color in the Garden.” Horticulture classes are anemone, serum and hydrangea. The design classes are a Mantel Design and a Table Arrangement. All interested persons are invited to attend and enjoy the food, displays and discussions. September 21: Food distribution in Rappahannock County will close
The Blue Ridge/USDA food distribution in Rappahannock county will close after the September 21 distribution. After a year of running this program we want to thank all our volunteers who have given so generously of their time. Those in need of food assistance can go to the Culpeper distribution. It is held on the third Saturday of the month, from 9am to 12, at the Provident Bible Church on Old Brandy Rd. in Culpeper.
September 21: RappFLOW meeting
All are welcome to come to discuss the current study being conducted by the VA Dept of Environmental Quality of “impaired streams” in Rappahannock County, including segments of the Rush and Rappahannock Rivers. Also on the agenda is RappFLOWs study of the Lower Rush sub watershed, citizen monitoring of water quality, the County’s new “Clean Streams” project, and more! Meeting is in RappFLOW meeting room in Sperryville at 6:30 p.m., formerly “Rae’s Place” next to the old Schoolhouse at the comer of routes 211 and 522.
