ty up for auction was listed in the brochure as “priceless” but eventually went to Chuck Akre for $4,000. Akre won “Dinner with the Spooks,” described as a “clandestine evening and dinner at an undisclosed location” with former Senior White House Advisor Richard Clarke, former Deputy CIA Director John Macgaffin, and former CIA directors Admiral Stansfield Turner and Judge William Webster.

All of the items up for auction at the Taste of Rappahannock were donated by local businesses, local people, and local former CIA directors.

The food came from places like the Epicurious Cow, and the Flint Hill Public House, and was served by the local students who will reap the benefits of the charity event. Wine from Gadino Cellars,Grey Ghost, and Sharp Rock Vineyard was donated to be served to guests. One anonymous guest even agreed to match up to $15,000 of contributions from the party goers.
