Department is one that provides opportunities for learning for a diversity of learners. Ideally, our schools are places where children are valued and differences are Seen as opportunities, not obstacles.
The inclusion of students with disabilities in the general education curriculum plays a big part in this learning opportunity.
The purpose of this week is to recognize the ever-increasing diversity among student population, and to celebrate the work performed on behalf of all children, particularly those with disabilities. ' .v>v ■
In anticipation of thofl; our topic of discussion for this meeting will be, “Inclusion in the General Education Classroom.”
The September 28 meeting will organize for the upcoming year with appointment of officers, discussion of goals for the upcoming year and planning for National Inclusion Week.
SEAC is open to any and all parents, teachers, community members that wish to attend and learn more about inclusion and participate in the discussion of how we can improve each Rappahannock student’s classroom experience.

RCPS in Mourning: We offer our condolences to the family of Roberta Jenkins, who passed away August 31.
Mrs. Jenkins worked as a School Bus Driver for the RCPS for 33 years. Her skill and loving dedication in working with the students she transported will not be forgotten.
