The past couple weeks have
been especially poignant for me; I took my little girl to kindergarten in the very same school I attended (RCES). At each turn of the hallways old memories were awakened.
We walked by the room where Mr. Fountain taught geography and Miss Hawkins’ science classroom. We passed through the little gym, and by the stage where I played Thomas Jefferson in our fifth grade play.
I was also surprised and heartened to see many of the same people I went to school with now teaching classes at the elementary school. Imagine the relief I felt when an old friend turned teacher told me she would look after my daugh
