Route 29 South
CULPEPER - Motorists traveling south on Route 29 in Culpeper County will find one lane closed beginning Sunday evening, Oct. 21 due to milling and paving operations.
Chemung Contracting Corp., a contractor for the Virginia Department of Transportation, will mill and pave the roadway in twomile segments for approximately six miles beginning south of the Town of Culpeper at the foot of the ramp where Route 29 Business merges with the Bypass (near Lake Pelham > and ending at the road’s intersection with Route 609 (Hoover Road >.
Once the work is completed on the southbound lanes - in approximately three weeks, weather permitting - the contractor will move its operations to Route 29 north and pave the northbound lanes from Route 3 to Route 666.
