At the beginning of the year, the students were tasked with the job of purchasing piglets and preparing for their arrival.
“They have to budget and know how much it’s going to cost to keep the pigs,” Glier said.
Last Thursday afternoon, Oct. 11, Mountain Laurel students Bronte Salgado, Rory Grambo and Samantha Wright were busy stapling tar paper to the roof of the pigs’ shelter.
“It keeps the wind and the moisture off the wood so it doesn’t warp and degrade,” Salgado, teacher David Salgado’s daughter, explained.
