And, as the days continue to shorten and that nip in the air turns into a freezing wind, more people are inclined to agree with him.

We now have the luxury of customizing our beloved fireplaces, but how do we know which fireplace is the right choice for us?

According to Marc Harris, fire operations manager of Fireside Hearth and Home in Warrenton, which manufactures and installs fireplaces, the two most common options are the traditional woodbuming fireplace and the modem gas fireplace.
