Bluegrass, Bluegrass Gospel and County Music by four outstanding groups will keep your feet stomping and your heart warm at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27. That indomitable group of women that comprise the Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary has put together an amazing line up of music for this fund raiser. The proceeds wiU upgrade that long used and weU worn kitchen at the fire haU which serves as a community center and is the venue for many birthday parties, weddings, picking parties and other activities. There is no entrance fee for this family and community event, but plan to eat supper there. They will be serving chili, soup, hamburgers, cheese burgers, fries, dessert, and hot and cold drinks. In addition to any food purchases, your donations are welcome.
The energy, quality, talent and professionalism of die musicians will make this a memorable afternoon. If you missed them the last time they were here, don’t miss the Sargent Family Bluegrass Band. Twelveyear-old Danielle won the Virginia Folk Music Association 2004 Junior Entertainer Award and has played with her mother, father and brothers since that time.
