held for Rebecca Ann Smith on Tuesday in Rappahannock County General District Court. The Town" of Washington woman is charged with breaking and entering, conspiring to steal, conspiring to break and enter and grand larceny of a firearm for events that allegedly took place July 17. Ail four charges are felonies.
A preliminary hearing for the case was scheduled for Dec. 6.

A bond hearing was held Tuesday in Rappahannock County General District Court for a Sperryville woman charged with 16 counts of check forgery.
Mary Elizabeth Donovan’s attorney said she has bipolar disorder and has not had regular access to her medications since she was incarcerated Oct. 6. The public defender said it would be best for Donovan’s health if she were released from jail until her trial.
Judge Charles B. Foley set a bond of $5,000 for the defendant. Another condition of the bond is that Donovan not have any contact with the victim of the forgery crimes.
